Shooting Stars

This 45 minute class is for boys and girls 4 and 5 years of age. Each week we experience the gymnastics equipment through a unique theme (i.e. dinosaurs, the circus, the zoo) designed to inspire and encourage physical and social development. We rotate our equipment each week to feature all of the Olympic gymnastics events (vault, bars, beam, floor, parallel bars, rings). This class will prepare your child for class in the “big gym.”

Fun gymnastics skills taught in our Shooting Stars class include:

• Basic physical skills (stand on 1 foot, jump off 2 feet, skipping)
• Bridges
• Pullover on bars
• Handstands and Cartwheels

Children will also develop social skills including:

• Following multiple step directions
• Interactively positively with instructors and classmates
• Turn taking and leadership in groups
